As a lover of great food heritage architecture, there’s no place I’d rather spend an afternoon than St. Lawrence Market. Just steps from 158 Front, St. Lawrence Market has been a Toronto icon for over 200 years. With over 120 vendors and merchants selling everything from fresh local produce to fine imported delicacies, it’s no wonder that National Geographic Magazine awarded St. Lawrence Market the title of best market in the world. So if fresh food and endless selection are on your menu, you can find virtually endless supplies at this exceptional Toronto institution.
Living close to work is a high priority for me. Now that I can call 158 Front St. home, I’m just steps from my job in the heart of the Financial District. Serving as headquarters to numerous multi-national corporations, banks and financial services firms, legal firms and more, it is estimated that 100,000 commuters enter and leave the financial district each day. With 158 Front, you can trade your long commute for a leisurely 5 minute walk, and always be on time for the big moments in your career and your life. And if I ever switch careers, other major employers like SAS Computers, St. Michael's Hospital and more are all close by, offering virtually endless opportunities.
I’ve always loved the atmosphere of downtown Toronto. The mix of stylish modern skyscrapers, classic heritage buildings, and everything in between creates a vibrant cosmopolitan energy that you can just feel in the air. At 158 Front, I’m living among some of the city’s most iconic buildings, with historic landmarks like The Gooderham Building, St. James Cathedral and The Distillery District all just steps away. It’s an energy I just can’t get enough of, and there’s plenty to spare in this amazing neighbourhood.
For me, the best part about living in downtown Toronto is the endless choice of exciting events, hot boutiques and retailers, trendy bars and top rated restaurants to explore. It’s a place where I can be sitting behind home plate at a baseball game, shop till I drop, enjoy a gourmet dinner and dance the night away at a cool nightclub, all in the same weekend. When you’re living at your first choice location in downtown Toronto, it feels like the good times never have to end.
My work takes me all across the city, the country and the world. It’s nice to know that whether I’m taking a streetcar to Little Italy or catching a redeye flight for a meeting in Rome, all of the city’s best transportation amenities are there to make my trip as easy as possible. The central location of 158 Front, gives you easy access to numerous subway stations, GO Transit and the Pearson Airport express train at Union Station, as well as Billy Bishop Airport. With this kind of convenience, it’s nice to know that no matter what time zone I’m in, I’m always close to home.
Getting a great education is important in my family, and living close to some of the city’s top educational institutions gives me limitless choice to excel in whatever program I choose. With 158 Front, I am just minutes from George Brown College’s all new waterfront campus, which offers a wide range of competitive healthcare programs to get my career started right. If I decide to switch majors, George Brown’s St. James Campus is just up the street. I could even go further in my chosen field by enrolling in nearby Ryerson University or University of Toronto, both just 15 minutes away. With so much choice, it’s easy to stay at the top of your class when you’re living in Toronto’s first neighbourhood.
Toronto has some of the finest live entertainment venues in the world, and at 158 Front, I get to live steps to some of the city’s best. Wether I’m watching hockey, basketball or an amazing concert at the ACC, sitting behind home plate at Rogers Centre or enjoying some live theatre at Sony Centre, I can always count on an exciting night on the town at 158 Front.
The only thing we love more than living in downtown Toronto is spending time in this city’s many beautiful natural spaces. Whether we’re down at Lake Ontario at Sherbourne Commons or Sugar Beach, taking the Ferry to Toronto Island, or enjoying one of my neighbourhood’s many beautifully maintained parks, there’s nothing better than being at one with nature in Toronto’s first neighbourhood. And at 158 Front, you are minutes from it all.
